Industrial Project Portfolio

Industrial encompasses warehouses, manufacturing, distribution, and flex (office with light industrial) properties. They may not always be pretty, but they require special knowledge of their unique requirements, such as power, racking systems, clear spans, flooring needs, dock and roll-up doors, and other particulars, often requiring offices to be built within.

Below is a selection of industrial projects of which we are particularly proud. Click on any image to enlarge it.

The manufacturing floor in this La Vergne facility is still pristine years after we built it. The drywall on the left encompasses the facility's offices on the other side.

To protect sensitive trade secrets being manufactured in the rear, a secure lobby entrance still allows natural light into the office space behind it through frosted glass.

CIC built the plant manager's vision within the warehouse to create offices, a conference room, a large break room, and a secure lobby area for guests. A second secure entry was also constructed to allow employees to enter directly into the secure space.

Unlike a traditional build-out, Tarkett's half of a warehouse in Murfreesboro required quite a few repairs and upgrades. Here, we have the old halogen lights on the floor, which were replaced with more energy-efficient fluorescent lighting on motion sensors.

We separated spaces for two tenants within the building with a demising wall and created a secure throughway.

The warehouse walls were severely damaged by the previous tenant's forklifts, a common issue. While they didn't need paint, we still repaired the walls to a smooth, paint-ready finish.

Where Tarkett planned to have their racking system, they requested we reinforce the drywall to prevent further forklift damage. It was a small part of a package that included the lighting retrofit and demising wall shown above, roof and concrete floor repairs, dock and drive-in door repairs, pit leveler repairs, pillar repairs, miscellaneous paint, and office finishes.

CH Robinson, a logistics company in a Nashville industrial-flex park, moved into a new space that had only concrete floors, block walls, and a plumbing stub-up prior to their build-out.

The CH Robinson space, when completed, was a bright, welcome update to their former offices with its open floor plan on an end cap with lots of windows, an open ceiling, and vivid accent colors.

The break room in this flex space included a foosball table, plenty of seating, and a chalkboard paint space on the wall for messages.

Instead of hanging a few prints on the wall, this logistics company incorporated interesting features such as acrylic stand-off silhouettes of transportation modes and a full floor-to-ceiling photo of the founders as a vinyl applique.

This glass manufacturer tasked CIC with building their twenty thousand square feet of offices within their 200,000 square foot facility where no offices had existed before.

They take a beating: dock doors and dock door levelers that receive multiple daily deliveries from tractor-trailers. We can fix those, too, just like we did for this client.
